Gain Specialized Knowledge
Students in Herzing’s Health Information Management program will pursue specialized coursework in three areas:
Data Governance
Gain a foundational understanding of database systems, standards for the exchange of healthcare information and skills for managing data in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements.
Revenue Cycle Management
Build knowledge of diagnosis and procedure codes, CPT and HCPCS coding, reimbursement and the revenue cycle process, as well as legal and regulatory issues.
Healthcare Analytics and AI
Develop skills in healthcare data analysis and the critical evaluation of AI-generated information in health information practice.
