Prepare to stand out even more in the job market by combining your credentials with Herzing University’s unique dental pathway. You can earn your dental assistant qualification, then continue earning a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene while you work in your new career.

Herzing's Dental Assistant-Dental Hygiene pathway lets you:

  • Transfer courses from your dental assistant program to your dental hygiene degree, freeing up more time to work as a dental assistant.
  • Become eligible for a scholarship program if you finish your dental assisting program with a 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Take advantage of priority enrollment into dental hygiene classes when you decide to pursue this pathway—with no waiting lists!
  • Earn two qualifications in the same time other schools prepare you for only one.

After four years, you’ll be able to show employers relevant work experience plus two in-demand qualifications.  What's more, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, dental assistants in Minnesota earned more than those in any other state as of May 2020**. Graduates of Herzing University’s dental assisting programs are eligible to take the examinations leading to certified dental assistant (CDA®) certification through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) upon successful completion.
